Tile is a designer’s dream media. There is no limit to the combinations of styles, textures and colors you can use to make your area unique. We will design the right look for you from rustic slate, travertine and other natural stones, sleek bright ceramics, frost free porcelain tiles, glass and metallic tiles. There is a plethora of choices awaiting your imagination.
Ceramic: Ceramic is made from red or white clay and fired at high temperatures. It is available in matte or glossy finishes. Ceramic is for indoor use only.
Porcelain: Porcelain is made from finer clay than ceramic and fired at much higher temperatures. This makes the product almost as non-porous as glass, which is why porcelain is more chip resistant and can be used outside.
Slate: Slate has a rustic look to it and is very uneven in texture. Gauged slate will vary from ¼” in thickness up to ½“, sometimes even more, since it is naturally layered. This gives it an appearance that is very popular here in the Pacific Northwest.
Travertine: Travertine is in the marble family. It would be marble if were in a dryer area, but the water that goes through the stone creates holes that give travertine it’s soft edges.
Marble: Carrara marble is probably the most famous of all marbles. It is white with grey veins. But did you know that marble comes in dozens of colors? Whites, pinks, greens, golds, etc. We have a large selection of marble to choose from.
Granite: This stone has become very popular in this century. It is made into slabs and tiles. The most common colors are available in both, the more rare granites are sold exclusively in slab form.
Concrete Pavers: Both subdued patterns and bright Mexican designs adorn these 1” thick tiles.
Glass: Nothing sparkles like glass, except diamonds, which we don’t have in tile form, yet! Every color in the rainbow is represented in our glass collection. Mix and match different sizes and thicknesses of glass, or combine with other types of tile to create your unique look.
Metal: Mainly used as accents with other types of tile, metallic tiles and listellos add dimension and contrast to your design.
Resin: Resin can be made to look like travertine, slate, metal and many other textures. This is a lower cost option than the true materials and fills a real niche in our marketplace.
