Anatomy of Wool - Water Repellent

Wool is water resistant which makes it a great option for carpet since spills will sit on top of the fiber giving you time to clean it up before it stains.

A tiny amount of natural grease from the sheep known as lanolin remains on the fiber even after the cleaning processes it undergoes before manufacturing. Wool’s outer cell structure also helps the fiber repel liquids.

Watch and learn how wool repels liquids in the great video from Just Shorn Wool.
